Gate Valves are the basic circuit elements in flow control (on-off process).

Provides straight passage, pressure loss is very low. The closure element (slide) moves perpendicular to the pipe axis, interrupts and / or gives way to the flow with this movement. Provides metal-to-metal sealing, unidirectional sealing, mainly slide and body sites are 3-6 degrees angular position (conical surface).

They are operated in full open, full closed position. This product group is not used for flow adjustment in half open position.

They are controlled by flywheel, gear actuated, electric and/or pneumatic actuators. The number of on-off cycles depends on the shaft pitch and stroke and the operation time is long.

Flywheel control is recommended up to 10" Class 150, 8" Class 300, 6" Class 600. After these sizes, the use of a gearbox provides convenience in the on-off operation.
